It's an online markup editor akin to overleaf, but with its own custom syntax, a mix of latex and markdown.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask for this, as this is both a change to the addon, but possibly also needs support on the backend side.
Example for current incorrect errors:
The web editor is available at https://typst.app for free, but could probably also be self-hosted at other domains, as it is OpenSource.
