This bug is already solved in LT 6.1.1. Please test LT 6.1.1.

@FredKruse, how should I manually update the extension? (Shouldn't it have done so automatically?)

@rokejulianlockhart You could download the LT 6.1.1 extension from here: https://extensions.libreoffice.org/de/extensions/show/languagetool. Double-click on the OXT will install the version in LO.

Seems not, but

at least means that checking for updates is easy enough. I'll do so next time.
