Command for Toggling Tilda #188

Closed MagnusOxlund closed 9 years ago

MagnusOxlund commented 9 years ago

I'm looking for a terminal command for toggling the display of already open instances of Tilda. In my specific case, I would like to use it to show/hide Tilda with a hot corners application.

Tilda does not support this at the moment, maybe in the future we will implement a dbus interface, then it will be possible. I am going to close this, since we already have so many bugs open that are related to dbus support, once we have a dbus interface you may reopen it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will keep an eye on development progress.

@lanoxx I came to this repo looking for mentions of this issue. Does Tilda have this already?????

lanoxx commented 4 years ago

Its currently implemented in the wip-dbus branch, to use it you need to compile tilda manually from that branch. As soon as I have some time again to work on tilda I plan to merge it into the master branch. This will most likely be included in the next release of tilda.

What happened to this one? Which release did this get merged into?

Update?

Is the dev still alive?

lanoxx commented 8 months ago

This was merged. I also uploaded tilda 2.0.0 into Debian unstable this week which contains these changes. If everthing goes well it should also be available in Ubuntu 24.04.
