Tilda uses a default hotkey for each instance that is started, the first instance will use F1, the second instance F2, and so on. So its not just the F2 key for the second instance but the general logic to find a default hot key. I guess we could change it to default to something like <Super>+F#
.
In GNOME (Ubuntu), the way to change a file name in the file explorers is F2. A normal click doesn't work, like in Windows. Changing a file name either needs a complex context menu navigation or the F2 hotkey.
Most of your Tilda users will have come from Guake or others, which use F12 toggle on/off and F11 for fullscreen, just as most apps use F11 for fullscreen.
Please do not conflict with normal hotkeys (F2) and follow common practice with other hotkeys (F12, F11).
