OK, I figured out that if I use the Twitcher (Alt-Tab) I can get the ssh-askpass
window to come to the foreground, so that is the work around for now. In reality I expect that when a password or passphrase is being asked for that this will come to the foreground.
Hi! I come from using the Unity Desktop on Ubuntu 18.04. Recently switch to Pop OS running Gnome 3.
On Unity when
ssh-askpass
or one of its variants (ssh-askpass-fullscreen
,ssh-askpass-gnome
), was called to enter a passphrase it would appear on top of Tilda. Now with Gnome version 3.36.8,ssh-askpass
or variants windows appear under Tilda, I can see them through the transparent terminal.I have disable the disable-workarounds flag which I found at
org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences
instead of atorg.gnome.desktop.preferences
as the wiki suggests. In the preferences under the Auto Hide section I have ticked "Hide when Tilda loses focus.", but none of this has brought the
ssh-askpass
windows to the foreground.Any help you can give would be appreciated! Frederick
