Occasionally several groups will organize a single event and promote it widely by creating meetup events within each of their respective groups. The result is that there will be many events appearing on the calendar with very similar names.
For example, a multi-group baseball event may show up as four rows on the calendar if four groups promote the event, sometimes with slightly different names:
QA: [Lugnuts Outing]
Demo Night: Lugnuts Outing
JS: Lugnuts outing
Agile: "Lugnuts Outing"
Showing four copies of an event jumps out on the calendar because of the vertical space four rows takes up, but when the names vary, it is not always clear that they are all the same collaborative event.
Describe the solution you'd like
When there are multiple events that have the same start time and similar names (perhaps by removing all special characters and converting the names to lowercase for comparison), create one row on the calendar that shows the Lansing Codes icon, start time of the event, and "Lansing Codes", "Multiple", or some other name that indicates many groups are involved.
The popover box could show the icons and names of each group with an event link. This would allow attendees to RSVP at one or more of the event pages that they commonly participate in.
