Laracasts has been helpful in leveling up my skill-set not only in laravel and php but as a developer in general.

tomhatzer commented 5 years ago

Even though having a few php certificates is nice, it's never a bad idea getting into shape in different frameworks. Laracasts helped me out on this and the training courses are a breeze everytime I watch them. They keep me up2date and my coding style has greatly improved since the start of my membership.

gamerwalt commented 5 years ago

Laracast... A great place to hang out and learn from one of the best programming teachers to ever teach Laravel and PHP.

Even with my Background in .Net, I still learned a lot and applied techniques from Laravel into my .Net programming.

wilburpowery commented 5 years ago

I subscribed to Laracasts almost 3 years ago, saying it was the best decision in my development career would be an understatement. Jeffrey, through his screencasts, has helped me improve in so many aspects.

Mcainson commented 5 years ago

Grace à Laracast, j'ai appris beaucoup de choses. Avec un niveau anglais moyen, je comprend tous les cours que j'ai suivi. Et j'en profite pour dire que Jeffrey est un professeur magnifique. Merci

ekpono commented 5 years ago

Being part of Laracast community has been a turbo boost for my career as a web developer. Moved from an absolute learner to team lead within a year. Have gotten more confident executing projects because Laracast has my back. Laracast is magic!!!

johnRivs commented 5 years ago

Laracasts's so good I won't buy a lifeteam subscription so I can give Jeffrey more money every year.

mcardle commented 5 years ago

I have been a Laracast user for 4 years now and I still pay monthly just to support this awesome site. I started on Envato tuts+ and migrated over to Laracast since I was about to learn Laravel. I have referenced all my colleagues to the site and I would recommend Laracast to anybody who want to up their skillset.

Thank you, Jeffrey and keep up the good work.

exfriend commented 5 years ago

Laracasts completely changed my developer mindset and brought a lot of fun and creativity into my code. In 2014, I was watching it non-stop for 2 weeks until there were no videos remaining on the list. Vlad at serpentine.io

I've been a Laracasts member for a while, Jeffrey showed me that it's okay to not understand everything at once. Programming can be hard but with enough patience and determination you can become a good programmer. He's a great teacher and human being P.D I love Laracast's snippet

richardkeep commented 5 years ago

I can't think of a better way to express my gratitude for Laracasts. My coding was in shambles before I joined 4 years ago. I remain forever indebted to Jeffrey for his world-class teachings.

deanzod commented 5 years ago

I watch Laracasts instead of TV! Even after 15 years of coding, the advice given in the videos dramatically improved my knowledge, methods and overall way of thinking...within the first few weeks.

calebporzio commented 5 years ago

You get a window into a seasoned developer's mind and workflow for the price of an Uber. I can't overstate the value of a Laracasts subscription.

danyelkeddah commented 5 years ago

Good luck with your Apple TV+ subscription, I already own @laracasts lifetime account👍

rachids commented 5 years ago

When my team and I chosed to use Laravel, we started learning it at Laracasts. It only took a few videos before we subscribed.

voidgraphics commented 5 years ago

Jeffrey has helped me get a deep understanding of the inner workings of Laravel, and has had a tremendous influence on the quality of my code. Definitely considering the lifetime subscription.

joeydotdev commented 5 years ago

I have been a user on Laracasts for around a year - where I was building my first web application utilizing a PHP Framework. I attribute my growth as a full stack developer to be extremely tied with Laracasts'/Jeffrey's awesome content. I would suggest any developer interested in web technologies to become a member and invest into your future as a developer.

I've been doing Software Development for 6+ years. I found Regex to be really daunting.

Recently I've gone through Regex course on laracasts.

This is one of those i didn't knew i needed this experience.

Regex is really beautiful & most importantly: Useful.

Thanks so much Jeffrey

My skills have improved in every video, editors, PHP, Vue, Laravel, tests, you name it. I have been here for over 4 years and I have seen 1,314 videos at this moment.

I've been visiting Laracasts for years while not being subscribed. The free content is great, but I could no longer resist finding out what I was missing. Now that I'm subscribed I can tell you I was missing out on lot's of interesting content, and I've only scratched the surface. I'm looking forward to keep exploring and learning at Laracasts.

josepostiga commented 5 years ago

Laracasts is a must for every PHP/Laravel developer! I've been a subscriber for over 4 years. It has helped me a lot to understand topics like TDD and Design Patterns. It has impacted my professional life in a very positive way!

intellow commented 5 years ago

I dreamed of starting my own business for almost a decade while working in corporate America. Soon after I found Laracasts, I had the skills to finally take my freelance work full time and support my family with my own business. Now I am a successful entrepreneur and use Laracasts to train any new developers on my team.

tkrajacic commented 5 years ago

Laracasts is Jeffrey's years of experience condensed into practical advice presented in a succinct and entertaining way. There is nothing better to learn Laravel, PHP, and related modern Web technologies.

developing-sonder commented 5 years ago

I subscribed to Laracasts when I started working with Laravel. I thought I'd use the resource for a couple months to help me spin up on the framework. 3 years later I'm a devout Laracasts user.

The best part? I'm a better PHP developer. I'm a better Javascript Developer. I'm a better Laravel Developer. I'm a better Vuejs developer. I had no idea all the things PHPStorm could do. I can write effective, informative tests now. I can spot patterns and refactored more quickly. All of this is due to Laracasts.

Jeffery Way not only shows you how to do it, but he also shows you where you'll commonly mess up and how to correct that. You'll constantly hear him say "don't worry about that" or "we'll get deeper into that later" as he walks you through a new concept. It's a reassuring statement here or there that helps you keep move forward and not get too overwhelmed.

If you're young, old, beginner, expert, or trying a new language, it doesn't matter. Laracasts will help you along your way. Invest in this resource for you, your team, or your class. It will be the best decision you make for your career.

aMadReason commented 5 years ago

I'm not primarily a PHP developer anymore, but I'd be one of the first to recommend laracasts to anyone who is. Hell, I still watch videos now to keep up to date with the latest Vue, PHP and laravel features. A great place to learn about practical programming for the web no matter your language of choice.

One of the best investments of my career.

My lifetime Laracasts membership has been one of the most immediately useful and continually valuable tools in my developer toolkit. From jumping into a new IDE, or reinforcing best practices it's one of the first references I turn to. -Sherri W (SyntaxSeed)

Jhnbrn90 commented 5 years ago

As a beginner, Laracasts helped me achieve my goal to develop smarter software for our research group. Although the Laravel framework itself already offers a lot of convenience out of the box, Jeffrey’s simple, comprehensive and down-to-earth tutorials really got me motivated to get started!

Nefiron commented 5 years ago

Laracast not only taught me how to empower my development with what Laravel has to offer, but also gave me confidence in my approach to code in general.

JunaidQadirB commented 5 years ago

Laracasts has been a great resource not only for learning a lot about Laravel for me but also helped me write tests in a better way and programming in general. Jeffrey Way is no doubt a fantastic teacher. The way he explains concepts is unmatched.

After all these years it's still the best resource to learn Laravel. It's amazing to see the evolution of Laracasts through these years and the passion Jeffrey puts on all the videos.

I love Laracasts because it has a lot of practical step-by-step tutorials. The teaching, video and content quality are one of the best I've ever seen. It helped me so much and improved my web development skills to a whole new level.

I really enjoy laracast tutorials! My problem is find the time to learn the whole series. But, keep up the good work. May I suggest more video on decoupled stuff like gatsby, Vue, etc. Tks Carlo

vivekdhumal commented 5 years ago

Laracasts is the only screencast which I used to watch without any skips beacause of jeffery’s way of explaining things and also his editor’s color scheme 👍🏻

luisfergago commented 5 years ago

Laracasts me ha ayudado durante toda mi carrera universitaria a mejorar y ampliar mis conocimientos como desarrollador web de forma integral.

ibnuh commented 5 years ago

Laracasts should become the standard quality for screencast industry, delivering clear and easy to understand tutorials, you don't even have to rewind!

benfurfie commented 5 years ago

I originally signed up to Laracasts to get a better understanding of Laravel. Not only has Laracasts helped me with that; it’s helped me become a better developer all round. The quality of software I write today is indistinguishable from what I wrote before signing up, and that is entirely down to Laracasts. I can’t recommend Laracasts enough for anyone who works with PHP and/or JS, irrespective of whether you work with Laravel or not. Keep up the amazing work Jeffery!

hmshafeeq commented 5 years ago

Signing up for the life time subscription of laracasts.com was one of the best investment i made for my professional career.

Signing up for Laracasts is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. Laracasts helped me to remove several  knowledge roadblocks from my career path and taught me to write a better code. Laracasts makes me a more confident web developer. This in turn makes my work less stressful. Less stress leads to a more enjoyable life. Thank you, Jeffery Way, for bringing more joy into my life!

Laracast is one of the best screencast.

jpeters8889 commented 5 years ago

As a PHP developer for almost 15 years, I've always been of the mindset of doing things myself, which I always enjoyed, however some of our projects at work uses Lumen, so I had to learn how to use that, then we got a team laracasts subscription and I got an account, I originally only went on for the generic PHP series, OOP, best practices, but from there I started to enjoy the laravel videos, I watched over 100 videos in February, and currently at around 130 in March, and I've learnt so much, and can now see that while doing it your self is rewarding, it's already been done, far better, more optimised, and more secure than anything I could write.

I've now started converting my very large personal project to laravel and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Thank you Jeffrey for everything, and no doubt further enhancing my skill set

sergiu17 commented 5 years ago

I wish I discovered Laracasts earlier. The way Jeffrey explains things is phenomenal.

IvalinV commented 5 years ago

It doesn't matter how experienced programmer you are Laracasts is the place where you can become better, learning from the best.

desratuk commented 5 years ago

I don't even use Laravel in any production capacity but Jeff's approach to teaching and varied course subjects covering things like tooling, java script, design patterns (I could go on) mean I have no reservation in totally recommending a subscription, especially at such a low cost.

Just watching his videos I have come across all sorts of other software, libraries, tools that I now swear by.

mpchean commented 5 years ago

I have been amazed at the depth of material on the Laracast site. The tutorials have given me so many 'aha' moments that I've lost count.

jessarcher commented 5 years ago

Jeffrey has been teaching and inspiring me for at least 7 years now. He is one of the main reasons I chose Laravel and Vue. He has an incredibly effective method of teaching and explains complex concepts in a concise and easily accessible way. It's not an exaggeration to say I wouldn't be where I am without him. Thank you, Jeffrey.

vincenzoraco commented 5 years ago

Jeffrey helped many people and me to learn Laravel in a different way than the usual documentation. In so many episodes seen, I don't remember that he showed the documentation page during his videos, not even once. His way to teach is unique, and we all are very grateful for this.
