If you're a happy member of Laracasts and wouldn't mind giving me a moment of your time, I would appreciate a quick two sentence testimonial immensely! Each will be featured either on the Laracasts.com homepage, or in the testimonials section.

Thanks so much! :D

If you want to learn to code, give Jeffrey Way your time and energy. From beginner to advanced lessons, his style is pertinent, informative, and invaluable.

I bought the subscription to Laracasts hoping to get to understand Laravel better. But not only has it done that, it's made me a better developer in all aspects of PHP.

A long time ago, before i even knew what a statement was or how to even echo "hello world" to the browser i came across the first course from Jeffrey Way: PHP Fundamentals, and was completely blown away by the knowledge as well as teaching techniques that he possessed. It was fun and he made everything so simple to understand, it almost seemed unreal, i went from a complete developer "noob" to a professional developer within a large firm, all thanks to you. Here i am years later still learning from the exact same person. Laracasts is the best resource for any PHP Developer, and Jeffrey Way is still the best teacher! Proudly Laracasts Subscriber for life.

Laracasts is fantastic! After each video I learned so much that I have to rewrite my app :)

drehimself commented 10 years ago

Before I write any code, I ask myself "What would Jeffrey do?" Odds are, he's covered it in depth on Laracasts! http://andremadarang.com

gregrobson commented 10 years ago

I second @drehimself with "what would Jeffrey do?"

Laracasts is great! I´ve learned a lot! But the most important thing I´ve learned is that there´s a lot left to learn, more than I thought.

Laracasts has made me a better developer in not only Laravel/PHP but in programming in general. With every screencast I've learned something new. I highly recommend it!

elpete commented 10 years ago

While I don't code in PHP for my current job, I always check out Laracasts for the tools and patterns that I can apply in the different languages I work in. Worth every penny!

I'm not just a new Laravel developer, I'm a new web developer in general. Let me tell you, I wouldn't be coding anything now if it weren't for Jeffrey's excellent teaching.

Laracasts is THE learning resource for Laravel. I can't count how many times Jeffrey introduced me with new concepts and little tricks that save me dozens of hours over the course of the year.

If you're thinking about signing up, just do it! It's definitely worth it.

If Heisenberg cooked screencasts, this would be his cookbook.

A Laracast a day keeps the bad practices away

Jamesking56 commented 10 years ago

Laracasts has taught me more than I could've ever learned on my own. Jeffrey's teachings have enabled me to accelerate my learning with the framework and land me my first Laravel full-time job at a company who now regard me as their "Laravel expert". Laracasts has been the best resource I ever invested money into and it's worth every single penny!

When I watch most of new episodes even before email of them being released reaches my mailbox, that's the excitement no other code learning source can compete with.

Laracasts are way better than Game of Thrones! #yesIWentThere

Jeffery Way IS that ternary machine that can run any algorithm. You learn to just except his his infinite awesomeness, because it just hurts your head to think about it too much! bn8yuhocaaa0pcf

Apart from some sporadic Justin Bieber appearance on the site, you made learning even advanced topics a cinch. It is true that it is like Netflix for developers, but sometimes it is as addictive (even most) as Youporn! :sunglasses:

kojuka commented 10 years ago

Best training we've had hands down. Great teaching style and a thoughtful mix of some easy newbie friendly code with some advanced ninja code concepts. Its the full range which is great for our developers.

cpriego commented 10 years ago

I graduated college knowing a little bit of everything: from the various programming languages like C and Java to the different programming paradigms like spaghetti, procedural, Object Oriented and Functional. I learned that you have to follow standards and best practices whenever you could for they allow for easier code understanding and maintainability, however, learning a new language is like being the new kid in town, you know you need to go to the supermarket to buy your food but you don't know where the closest supermarket is nor the best route to get there.

Jeffrey is that good neighbor willing to help you, guide you and teach you those little tips and tricks that make your "new life" just so easy. He covers EVERY topic in the most delightful way and makes learning those tricky concepts that make painting a Mona Lisa with a paintball gun with your eyes closed while ridding a rodeo bull look like an easy task become a walk in the park.

For a practical learner that finds it very hard to learn only from books, being able to "see" what a design pattern or dependency injection really is has truly paid off.

The best investment I've ever done in my life.

If you're still hesitating take a quick look to the free lessons. Rest assured, you won't regret it.

I've always preferred learning programming languages with online courses and videos, well, let me tell you, that from all videos I've seen, from all the University classes I've taken, I have never seen a better instructor than Jeffrey. You actually get attached to his screencasts like you would to a TV Show!

Hi there, I'm quite happy with Laravel and Laracast. However while I'm seeing Laravel 5 Fundamentals I could see here: https://laracasts.com/series/laravel-5-fundamentals/episodes/15?autoplay=true something wrong. I just cloned Laravel repository and this episode is showing a few folders and files that are not included by default like views/auth/ , Services\Registrar and https://github.com/laravel/laravel/blob/master/app/Http/routes.php has not the default code showed in the video. Let me know what I'm missing and thank you for the amazing work.
