It would be helpfull to add an option where an dedicated cache store instead of the default one is used.

I can provide an PR, butI want to see if the feature has a change to be merged bevor I put any work into it.

Thanks. Since we currently do not have any other requests for this we probably aren't going to be making these changes, sorry.
