The images are sometimes invisible when I view the site on a phone (i used a lg nexus 5x and a microsoft lumia). I think it has something to do with the fact that you calculate the correct height of an article somehow and this is calculated before the image is loaded. This will be solved of you do the calculations after loading the images (load event). I'd be happy to help of there is a repository somewhere?
