Glitchy Graphics in LoZ: Ocarina of Time using Rice #437

Describe your system:
 - Operating System (be specific): Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS 2.6.32-30-generic
 - Machine type (32-bit or 64-bit): 64-bit
 - Mupen64Plus version: 1.99.4
 - Plugins used: Rice/Glide for video, Mupen SDL for audio and input, Hacktarux/Azimer for RSP

For visual artifacts, give:
The Legend of Zelda (A.K.A Legend Of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (U) (V1.2) [!])
             MD5: 57A9719AD547C516342E1A15D5C28C3D
             CRC: 693ba2ae b7f14e9f

Missing polygons with Rice, completely (unplayably) distorted textures with Glide64 using default settings. Rice problem includes Link's face, as well as glitchy graphics on the title screen (long, wide, black shadows on the ground).

Describe the problem:

Initially, I installed v1.5 because it was in the Repo and I didn't know any better. The game looked great this way, though there was some slow down. However, when I tried upgrading, the Rice plugin started to present the previously mentioned errors and the Glide plugin barely works at all. The arachnoid plugin crashes on boot with the error message "translate_source: assertion '0' failed". The plugins I'm using are all from the extraplugins package provided on the downloads page.

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm using an early 2008 macbook witha gma945 intel graphic chipset. My OpenGl
version is 1.4. I've tried messing with the Rice settings but nothing seems to
help alleviate the issue, and I can't locate the config file for the glide
plugin (or any other video plugin, for that matter).

Thanks.

The issue may have been mipmapping. After disabling it the graphical glitches
seem to be resolved. I'll update once I know for sure.

There's still some odd glitches happening at the title screen (a rainbow-esque
lattice over the LoZ logo), but it's not too noticeable and doesn't seem to
affect the game at large. May need to set up a new ticket for audio (cuts out
every 5-10 seconds for a beat), but will continue to experiment for the time
being.
