increasing number of digits beyond what is visible should enlarge columns automatically #145

moved from larray-project/larray#297

if one increase the number of digits it is safe to assume he wants to see them :)

One question is whether we want to shrink columns automatically (up to a point?) when lowering the number of digits. I guess it would be a good idea too.

I did not remember but I was basically done in one of my branches 😉
