Things I learned deploying this

Just wanted to write down a few notes before I forget, about my experience deploying a Node app on an Ubuntu VPS server:

• The combination of serving a Node app with PM2 + serving files in a static folder with Nginx is a bit complicated
• This app writes MP3 files into a folder for serving statically.
• Nginx needs to be able to read, write and execute that folder in order to serve it
• I created a dedicated user for the app
• I set the home directory to be owned by the www-data group
• I made sure 'static' and 'articles' inside it was readable, writeable, executable by the www-user group
