Not sure what could cause this and I don't have notepad++ so I can't test, so someone else need to verify / de-verify that this is happening.
In another application I saw the same thing but there I had an option to choose "Light" version of Monoid then it worked. If I choose "Regular" it's the same italic as you saw in Notepad++.

@jozsefk9 please try 0.61
I tried 0.61 just now. Still the same. No difference.

I had something similar happen, except mine seemed to be nothing but all bold, all the time. Fonts in Control Panel clearly says that all three varieties are available (regular, bold, italic), so I don't know what the problem is. Removing the font varieties to install 0.61 ran into this problem, which I solved using NexusFont. Installing 0.61 — regular only — seems to work.
I think you have to clear the font cache on windows between updates.
I think I fixed it with pull request #165 that I created not too long ago.
@LMLB great, I'll look into it
Here you can see the screenshot of Notepad++ (above) and Sublime Text editor (below): http://screencast.com/t/DqCL9vcNYd Same font looks different. I can't get regular font in Notepad++, only italic, which is not italic, it's regular but it's italic on screen.
