No bitmap-like sharpness? #246

I am confused.

In Ubuntu 22.04 this font is described as follows:

$ apt-cache search fonts-monoid
fonts-monoid - open source coding font with bitmap-like sharpness (normal tracking)
...

But I am not seeing "bitmap-like sharpness" at all.

Observe the comparison with bitmapped font:

It is extremely fuzzy. For instance, look at the letter 'n.' I tried different "Hinting" in gnome-tweaks, to no avail. Did I configure something wrong?

monoid version: 0.61-3

OS: Ubuntu 22.04

Oops... sorry... I was using font size 10. When changing to fontsize 9, it is a lot sharper!
