Firebomb cannon only causes animation, not damage #1753

DQ2 Firebomb Animation But No Effect

Right, the anim is a bit poor here because the jumper kills them after I hit play, but it's 100% reproducible and if there's no jumper, they make it to the ship unharmed.


DQ2 Universal 0.0.19 native on Linux Mint 19.3 (64-bit) in 1280x720 windowed, single-monitor setup with an Intel HD Graphics 4400 chipset.

Affects Walky and Toughy both, even if you bomb the same unit twice.

This is fixed in the next version. It was caused by fire cancelling ice without checking for ice existing in the first place, and ice when removed causes the target to be wet, and wet cancels fire. So setting them on fire made them wet which extinguished the fire. Will be fixed in 0.0.20
