...actually I'm not sure if this will make syntax highlighting happen for example blocks. Gonna do some more experimenting.
Yeah it actually doesn't. So this has no syntax highlighting benefits, it just makes ox-gfm use the same triple-backticks syntax for examples and source blocks. Still worthwhile, maybe?
I would love for this functionality to be merged. Is there a reason it isn't?
Thank you @benley, the only reason this wasn't merged was that I had stopped maintaining the repo.
This just makes the output format more internally consistent, with triple-backticks blocks for examples instead of indented blocks.
