Ignoring columns #19

Hi, I saw that a previous pull request for this functionality didn't go anywhere, so I had a go myself as I needed it for a project that I am working on.

Took the advice in #16 and directly filtered out the columns that should be ignored before the comparison is made, so I didn't have to change any of that code.
