This reverts commit ce1d9f659dcda1793f755105e3f836b3b58d37f0.

We need the signed commits because of a branch protection rule that prevents merging otherwise.

@sebthom I've just disabled this, hoping to reduce some friction for you / us / the project.

Actually, on 2nd thought - if you don't want this anymore just close it, if you do still want it, just "self merge" it now - do you have permission?
