fake spaces / end of lines #8

Spaces are often copied and pasted correctly even if there are no real spaces in the pdf, but line ends are a real problem. see pull request #1 and ex-softhyphen.tex.

Edit: now I can't reproduce it. This needs more thoroughful tests.
