(I assume this refers to model editing.)
I'd advise against this.
The primary user of GLC_Lib is probably GLC_Player. And a editing feature in GLC_Player feels out-of-place. GLC_Player is currently a nice niche product which is ideal for viewing a lot of model files in a short time (either directly or by exporting images). Adding editing support puts it in a much different software-sector (model editing) and it would easily be lost amongst the competition.
While editing for GLC_Lib would be an okay feature for completeness, I just don't see the purpose. The time is better spent improving GLC_Player and its features.
Use an implementation which work with both VBO and Vertex Array. Check if the mesh is finished Check the size of new value Perhaps, just use an accessor to the pointer of data to modify.
