[BUG] App gets stuck in inbox #1678

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.

Launch app, enter inbox, a "no new messages" toast appears. This message is not dismissible and clicking the Home icon does not take you home. You can view your profile, but no subreddits. This toast and behavior remain until the app is force closed in Android settings.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. Scroll down to '....'
  4. See error

I have a screen recording but I'd rather share directly as it contains my reddit username.
