I think long press is a decent option but I think it would be good to get a short press for the single share, and potentially long press for more options that way it's a lot faster to share (since long press would take the same time as pressing and choosing the option)
Nice idea but might be a little niche.
Is it really tho
I think it's pretty common to share the full post rather than the custom options, but can always leave it as is for default, and an optional switch for changing it
I can definitely vouch for this suggestion too, it'd be super useful since pretty much every time I'm sharing the link to a post (can't remember the last time I actually used the other options).
This feature was added in beta but as I mentioned above press and hold is not the way it should be done, hence I opened a follow up ticket precisely for the correct implementation
I'm using v22.06.17-16:57 and found this change really jarring.
I rarely ever share the actual Reddit post, only links. This change made it really annoying to do so.
The 3 dots is really easy to miss so I forget it's there.
Could we get the ability to choose the default share option/behaviour?
Really nice feature would be to allow users to select the default Share action when the Share button is pressed on posts and comments. I think most users use the Share Comments function more than anything else, and it would save a few clicks every time!
