Linux

Joplin version

3.0.13

Desktop version info

Joplin 3.0.13 (prod, linux)

Client ID: ee10062b0c6440f49f6eef2ae790a505 Sync Version: 3 Profile Version: 47 Keychain Supported: No

Revision: 599cf5b

Backup: 1.4.1

Current behaviour

It seems that it is impossible to delete attachments from a note. It's possible to delete the link but the datafile is preserved in the resource folder.

Expected behaviour

In the WYSIWYG editor, the contextual menu of the attachment should offer a "delete..." option which should also erase the associated resouce datafile. In the markup editor it's more tricky to achieve the same result.

See https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/build-in-clean-up-unused-resourec/35145/2 — at present, unreferenced attachments should be removed periodically, based on the value of the "keep note history for" setting.

Can I manually start the cleanup. I same my history forever. I've tested to add a video with 3 GB. I can see the file in the attachments. I delete the note, I delete the trash, but it's still there and it will never go away because I keep my history forever
