Joplin version

3.0.14

Desktop version info

Joplin 3.0.14 (prod, linux)

Client-ID: fe7262ac7aa243a383827df2758ba624 Sync-Version: 3 Profil-Version: 47 Unterstützter Schlüsselbund: Nein

Revision: 05cf51e

Backup: 1.4.1 Copy Code Blocks: 1.1.0

Current behaviour

I have a notebook called "Trash". I have kept all the notes there that I might need again. With the new trashcan function, I wanted to use this instead of my "Trash" notebook. To do this, I also deactivated the automatic deletion function after n days. I have now moved my notes to the Joplin trashcan. However, as soon as I move the "Trash" notebook to the trash can, all the notes end up back in the "Trash" notebook. In addition, the "Trash" notebook cannot be permanently deleted, even if it is empty.

Expected behaviour

  1. keep deleted notes separated from deleted notebooks.
  2. be able to permanently delete notebooks from the trashcan

Logs

I did notice not being able to delete notebooks from the trash individually, which does not seem like the expected behaviour. It is however possible to delete notebooks from the trash by right clicking / long pressing the trash and emptying the trash entirely

In my case, that would not be what I am trying to achieve: to keep selected content in the trash can permanently.
