Android: Export should save data on SD card prior to sharing #9644

Open tburny opened 9 months ago

tburny commented 9 months ago

Operating system

Android

Joplin version

2.13.10

Desktop version info

No response

Current behaviour

  1. Open the Joplin Android app
  2. Select configure / settings
  3. Select Export
  4. Tap Export all Notes as JEX (Alle Notizen als JEX exportieren)
  5. Depending on the duration it takes a long time, then
  6. A share dialog opens
  7. The exported file is not stored as a backup

Expected behaviour

I was trying to migrate my notes from one WebDAV URL to another using the Android app. Following the advice I tried to create a backup of all notes and I figured it would be stored somewhere.

It would be good to actually store the file locally (e.g. on SD card) before offering a share dialog, so that in every case a backup exists.
