Apache Tiles w/ Jakarta EE9? #1

Hi there,

This is not really an issue, but just a way to get in contact -

I have been searching for replacements for Apache Tiles for some projects that still use this dependency, and came across a thread here: https://www.mail-archive.com/general@incubator.apache.org/msg79848.html

I've searched for the name on that thread and came across this github and am hoping this is indeed the same person?

If so, did you by any chance publish your Apache Tiles for Jakarta EE9 code anywhere? While it seems like most have moved away from Tiles I'm sure it'd still be of use to people :)

Hi @VenKamikaze

It's me indeed. Like said in the thread, I've not commited this to my own repo. Since the answer of the apache community is to go on by myself on this, I need to do some extra rework (license, groupid and maybe packages names) before getting any chance to do the publish work.

By the way, I've never done such work (of publishing a library on public repository). I'll also need to do some search on this too.

I'll try to commit / push my actual work on this. You confort me that, even if Tiles is in the attic, having a Jakarta version is a real need before reworking on another technology.

By the way, I'm pretty sure I've done migration to JakartaEE10, I need to check this too
