Hi,
if there is not more output, this means that communication with the device does not take place at all. Please try it with an snmpwalk. Even if there is a response, an undefined sysUptime would make the plugin exit because it „thinks“ there is no working snmp agent on the other side.

I am trying to read the output on a Huawei CloudEngine 6800 switch. Even after 5 minutes i get unkown - check_nwc_health timed out after 300 seconds. Any ideas?
-vvvvvvvvvvv output:
/check_nwc_health --hostname

Thu Oct 17 10:47:30 2019: i know package Monitoring::GLPlugin::SNMP::MibsAndOids::MIB2MIB Thu Oct 17 10:47:30 2019: cache: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 Thu Oct 17 10:49:10 2019: GET: MIB-2-MIB::sysUpTime (1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3) :
snmpwalk seems to work fine. When i request the uptime i get the following result:
snmpwalk -t 10 -v 1 -c public <IP> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.1.1.10
iso.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.1.1.10.16777216 = INTEGER: 13977334
iso.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.1.1.10.16842752 = INTEGER: 0
iso.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.31.1.1.1.1.10.16842753 = INTEGER: 13977334
This value corresponds with the switch.
And when you run the snmpwalk with -v2c?
Because that’s the default for check_nwc_health. The equivalent to the -v 1 here would be --protocol 1

The protocol version was the problem. I will switch over to v2c. Thanks.

I have used the Paessler SNMP tester to check my SNMP configuration on the switch. The SNMP tester works tough.
