build/test errors #10

So I'm finally at the build & test steps. I believe I have everything except SMTP properly configured & I'm working on getting email creds. Build output looked clean but came up with a few errors in the test scripts & when I try the URLs I get nothing.

From initialize-data-stores.sh I get this:

Pulled latest build including Postgres. Got this during initialize-data-stores.sh (I hit return to see what happened). Do not see any likely candidates for an empty field that needs filling.

Applying authtoken.0002_auto_20160226_1747...OK Applying sessions.0001_initial...OK Username: Error: This field cannot be blank.

Yuuuuup that's because you have to enter in the username you want to register in the application :P enter in an email address for both the username and email address prompts. These are the credentials you will log in with.

Yeah OK. I could not be expected to know that. Dirty pool. So, rerunning I get a bunch of errors in run-tasknode-tests.sh. Here's one, want them all? Plus a bunch of tracebacks.

ERROR: test_response_contains_page_size (tests.rest_tests.views_tests.elasticsearch_tests.models_tests.web_tests.test_views.TestWebServiceScreenshotListAPIView)

Bump. Holidays are over & it's not working for me yet. Help?

zeoculls commented 6 years ago

I'm getting the same errors. I would appreciate any help.

scalefree commented 6 years ago

Christopher: I just need to know, are you still developing this? No commits in a month. If not I need to know so I can start looking for alternate solutions. Sorry to push but I need to know.

lavalamp- commented 6 years ago

Hey @scalefree - this project is not my priority at present, but could come back to the forefront in Q2. In the mean time I'm happy to help you get your instance running but will need to see the stack traces that you're observing.

If the turn-around time on this issue tracker is too long for you please feel free to hop on Freenode IRC and message me (handle is lavalamp). I can help you in real time there.

scalefree commented 6 years ago

Awesome, thanks. Don't mean to be pushy, I've just committed myself to delivering this as a proof of concept so I can win approval for an enterprise build. I can back out of that if I need, I just need to know which way I'm jumping. I'll reach out on IRC as soon as I can. Thanks again.

Much thanks to Chris for walking me through the process & getting me up & running. Closing out.
