Some directories with lots of images can take a long time to load. I'll be
adding a loading progress bar so
people will know the app hasn't become unresponsive.
is this the case with your home directory?

I guess the answer depends on what constitutes a lot of files, and what a "long
time" means.;)
I have waited (walked away and come back, actually) for over 20 minutes. And my
apps directory is currently
the directory it's defaulting to. I have 55 applications and other files
stored there.
I can try removing some as a test. How many is too many in your experience?

check that, I just tried reducing the files to 39, and loading mobileFinder
again. No luv, and it crashed the
music player to boot. (stuttering playback, repeating the same portion of the
song)
I may try restoring from scratch, but not for no compelling reason! ;)

Really! This sounds like a filename parse problem, or similar. Do this for me
if
you could:
!. Connect iPhone to a wireless network. Get IP from Settings app.
2. Hop on a mac and open Terminal (or pc with putty)
3. > ssh root@<your iphone's IP>
4. Password is "dottie"
4. > ls -la
5. Copy listing and post here

Wow, there should be no way this doesn't work. The app has about 20,000 users,
and I
don't think many are getting this issue. Is there anything at all that would be
irregular about your setup? If push comes to shove, restore your iPhone and
see if
that fixes it. I'm very interested in what the error is, so please let me know!

I will get you the output of ls soon. Are there any other steps or debugging I
can do to help?
I was able to use rhe product for quite a while, then after an update it
stopped working.

Well... I use installer.app and have been through just about every app avaible
there... everything works fine (by and large)... MobileFinder is the only one
which
can lock my phone tight (requiring a hard reboot)... I've now removed it... too
bad... good idea... rocky implementation...

my problem turned out to be related to a large number of images in the starting
directory. Using textedit I
could launch finder to adjust preferences to a new start directory and started
respnding on launch. Even
waiting with images directory as startup never seemed to work.

That is good to know. Perhaps I should disable thumbnails until I get a faster
way
to generate them. Several people seem to have this issue.
