Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start finder application
2. Choose any file to copy/move
3. Paste into a different location

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Im trying to copy/move a file but i cant. I have tried different files in
the iPhone without any luck.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPhone version 1.1.3 upgraded and unlocked 1.1.2 OOB

Please provide any additional information below.
I have installed OpenSSH a4.6p1-1 (uninstalled and reinstalled) and BSD
SubSystem 2.1 (reinstalled this one time also and restarted phone) When i
click copy on the folder/file it switches to paste/cancel. then i look for
a folder to paste the content in and click paste and nothing happens :(

It would seem as of 1.1.3, apps run as the "mobile" user, instead of root.
Thus, you
can't create/move/copy/delete/etc files in the system partition. anything under
the
'~'folder will work. I have been told that modifying /bin/mv and /bin/cp allow
you
to work with any file. I myself run 1.1.2 right now, so I will comment on this
when
I upgrade.

matt. Is it possible to use bosstool to change the location of the
applications so
you can move/copy/paste/create files?
