Taskbar sometimes becomes blank after the system returning from sleep

after a few logout/login cycles the taskbar may appear blank - which is easily fixed by closing and reopening taskbar again.

My understanding of the bug: there would be several windows open. Taskbar shows all the windows correctly. The system goes to sleep then returns from sleep. Now Taskbar is blank and doesn't show any of the windows even though they are still open. Quitting Taskbar and starting it again leads to correctly showing all the open windows.

For documentation: I wonder when this bug happens e.g. is it only after the laptop sleeping for a long time or perhaps only when many apps are running etc
