Is it possible to comment only some strings by commenting the non translated line with a good behaviour (I mean use the default language strings instead of empty)?

Hi Nicolas,

I'm working on french translation too ... maybe we could merge our contribution ?

ghost commented 9 years ago

Of course, tell me the branch for the pull request or directly git pull my "fr" branch. (I am a strange Nicola, I have no "s". :))

Hi Nicolas,

I’m not that much used to github, therefore I don’t know what’s the best way to contribute. For what I’ve seen, you made your own branch for the translation in the lawrance project, but I don’t know how to do that and my attempts just pointed me that I’ve no write access. In the meantime I just forked the project in my account ( prochat/logisim) and started to work on it (in the main branch)

I’ve added the whole set of fr files with some partial translations and also added to gradle the MacAppBundle plugin to have an OSX distribution (that works fine).

I also added as collaborator to my project (prochat / logisim ) … so you can review and merge your own translations.

Since you seems to be more familiar with github, if you see any better way to contribute, just let me know, and I’ll follow your instruction (I got no answer from Lawrance). My goal is to have a working version, with french translations I could use in classroom soon.

Regards, Ph.R.

Howdy, I appreciate your work (I've been buried in grading and advising lately). The way you're doing it seems right to me. Making a fork and contributing there is the way to go. I've allocated some time on this Friday afternoon to go through and merge or comment on the backlog of pull requests.

Thanks!

Hi Nicola, It looks like we have been working on concurrent versions ... could we fix/merge this ? Tell me how.

I've translated all the properties files and the interface is now fully in french. It's in the master branch of my fork.

I'm currently working on translating the documentation (help), I've translated around 30% of the html docs. It's in the doc-translation branch of my fork.
