Doesn't hide shorts on mobile. #78

First, I want to say, this is an awesome extension! Thank you for saving me from long hours of rabbit hole diving!

I really hate the toxicity of the YouTube app and especially shorts. The mobile app is somehow worse and I've long resorted to consuming YouTube in the browser on mobile. Your extension does a decent job at making the experience better on mobile, but doesn't work as well for shorts and they are not hidden.

On mobile you say? How did you install this on mobile?

There are a few forks of Firefox that still support extensions on mobile. I use https://github.com/fork-maintainers/iceraven-browser.

I know this is a very niche issue that's difficult to test but I thought I'd raise it anyways. If you do happen to want to test it you can use Iceraven and configure it with my collection of add-ons which includes RYS.

This was such an annoyance for me in the past that I've tried to fix the problem myself with a user-script: https://gist.github.com/jyboudreau/6bc00ff8c96aa94e9312595efbf93175

The mobile version of YouTube Shorts have different CSS classes for the mobile version of the site.

The user-script worked for me for a while but I stopped updating it when I found your extension... I haven't spent much time debugging it.

I might try to find a bit of time to help by submitting a PR if would be welcome to also support mobile for disabling shorts.

Thanks for making the issue!

Version 4.3.31 should have a fix 4c6c916f27bffcc655cfe4cc75f6bc26db536076

Fingers crossed that the mobile site on desktop is still a valid way to test.

And PR's are always welcome :)

I've only done some minor work to support mobile in the past. There's a "mobile" section at the bottom of the src/content-script/main.css file.

@jyboudreau Are shorts hidden on mobile now? I don't have an Android so it's tough to test with a real mobile device.

I've spent a few minutes testing this in different modes. I believe shorts in search and home have been removed. šŸ‘šŸ»

However, i'm still seeing shorts in my subscription feed šŸ˜¢

Just for context of how I use RYS:
