Run a trial period for Plausible and Matomo analytics

Some alternatives to Google Analytics:

• https://plausible.io/
• https://matomo.org/

Key requirements

• page tracking (standard analytics stuff)
• track user's chosen language on a pageview (ie. custom event properties)
• custom events - eg. "user interacted with this feature"
• search page tracking - "user searched for X"
• multiple websites
• tracking one website under two trackers (one for the LII itself, one for all liis)
• cookie-less tracking

Not particularly important:

• e-commerce
• complex funnel-related things (user went to page X then Y then Z etc.)

My gut says we go with Plausible. It's simpler than matomo but seems to be a bit cheaper. Matomo is widely used but is quite complex.

I suggest that we run a 30 day trial period with both, for one LII, and see what they're like.
