Hey @djdembeck! I sent an email inquiring about the alpha a little over a week ago, and just sent a follow up in case you didn't see it!

Responded! It was in the spam folder, so sorry about that!

The closed alpha isn't accessible without being whitelisted. You can send me a message via the email on my profile and I can add you.
We are relatively close to an open beta, just some structural blockers before wide usage.
Hi there, @djdembeck ! I reached out to you a couple of weeks ago via email regarding a request to access the closed alpha of AudiobookDB since it sounds really promising.
Just checking in to hear if you got my message?
Cheers, Tim
Hi, anything new about audiobookdb?
After tremendous work, a few hurdles, and life, AudiobookDB is now ready for alpha testing of the front end and API.
AudiobookDB takes inspiration from similar projects, such as TheMovieDB and Musicbrainz, to build a user-contributed metadata database just for audiobooks. There are no current good projects for audiobook metadata. The closest you might find is Bookbrainz (which is missing a lot of specific fields to audiobooks), Goodreads (which closed its API and isn't audiobook specific), Storygraph (which has said they will have an API but also isn't truly open to non-moderators).
Audnexus is significant, but because of its design in a NoSQL database, it can't adequately form the type of strong data relationships needed. And it's only source of truth is Audible, which is imperfect and lacking lately. As such, my focus has switched from Audnexus. I have thoughts on switching Audnexus to more of a seeder proxy in the future for multiple platforms.
The closed alpha currently lacks some features necessary for wider use, such as user accounts and edit history, but is largely feature-complete for the moment. If this sounds like a project you would like to experiment with and help shape, please get in touch with me via the email on my profile.
