I tried a few different query variations back on Stack Overflow posts but they seem broken as well:
https://www.google.com/search?btnI=I&q=window%20site%3Adeveloper.mozilla.org
https://www.google.com/search?btnI=I&q=window%20site%3Adeveloper.mozilla.org&sourceid=navclient
Looks like the "I'm feeling lucky" feature has been killed, some others found a similar issue https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/websearch/746JPOTQOWg;context-place=forum/websearch. Probably best to move to scraping and caching now instead.
I'm not sure its been killed. The official response there says it should work as we expect when Instant Search is disabled:
If you have Instant Results turned off, the button will direct to Google Doodles. If you type in a search term, the button will lead you to the 1st result on the 1st page of that search term results.
It's plausible Google broke the feature and not realized it. I tried disabling Instant Search and clicking the I'm Feeling Lucky button and it does a normal search.
It might be best to sit on this for a month or jump to another service temporarily.
It looks like everything is back to working :tada:
Hooray! I love when issues fix themselves!
