i believe, as long as the MySQL server H2 code is open source, there is no
license issue.

Actually, the license is a big issue.

MySQL requires that H2 would need to be GPL. H2 is open source, but not not 
GPL. I
don't want to make change the license of H2 to GPL, because software using H2 
would
need to be GPL. That would mean it is not possible to use H2 in commercial 
software.

So I can't do it, sorry.

Thx for checking this issue. I hv researched abt the license as well, and 
realized the GNU licence of mysql 
doesn't even allow derived works to use incompatible license. What a pity. And 
sorry haven't done the 
research before raising the issue
