"Add email" button in Settings doesn't seem to do anything #7698

Happens at least on 53.5 and on current master. Clicking button does nothing. add-email

Glad I'm not the only one. I didn't notice this until the other day on a new machine. As the login credentials were carried through updates, those of us who signed in on versions from long ago had no reason to notice this bug. As I'm in the process of setting up a new machine, I now have no way of associating my account with the latest version. I'm assuming I'll have to get a much earlier version, sign in, then update.

Signing in from 52.2 then updating to latest (53.7) works.

It's also still possible to log in using the option in the profile menu at top right.
