What steps will reproduce the problem?

I originally posted an issue I was experiencing with the PuruPuru Input Program
as Issue 379,

http://code.google.com/p/nulldc/issues/detail?id=379

Something weird is going on. I'm not sure if it is NullDC or something wrong
with PuruPuru, but every time I click on the gray button next to a key when
using the PuruPuru Input Program, instead of giving me 10 seconds to press the
key I'd like to map as the up button for example, it just inserts -A3 without
me doing anything or pressing any buttons on my Dreamcast controller plugged
into my Trio Linker Plus II.

It's really weird. Eventually, I was able to map my keys (don't ask me how...
it finally started prompting me for 10 seconds) but I've been unable to
successfully reset my settings since. PuruPuru thinks a key is being pressed
when it's not? Here's a video describing my issue:

Any ideas?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

This Video Answers Both of the Above Questions
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHOc_aGFHr4

The expected output is:
10 second countdown to be able to map the proper key instead of PuruPuru
inserting a random nonfunctioning key without me pressing anything on the
actual controller

But instead I see: PuruPuru inserting a key that does not function for every
button I try to map.

What version of the product are you using? What build? What plugins?

I use version: R136

I use the following plugins:

Maple Plugin(s): PuruPuru Dreamcast Controller v0.1 by Falcon4ever

On what kind of system?
Custom Build

My system specifications are as follows:

9GB ram

Operating System: XP x64 SP2
CPU: i7 920
Video Card: ATI 4890 HD
Sound Card: Built in
