PSP Freeze/Crash using ISO cache #84

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable ISO cache in the recovery menu
2. Play a game
3. It will happen at different points in the game depending on what game you
are playing

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I'd expect a slight speedup in game load speed. What I get instead, is the game
crashing at some point.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
This is using the 796d0f39948d nightly build. On my PSP.

Please provide any additional information below.

Don't get me wrong, ISO cache DOES do it's job, but it is also the cause for
the crashes I mentioned, as it only happens when ISO cache is enabled.
This has happened to me on a few games. When you beat a story in DragonBall z
Tenkaichi Tag Team, and in Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep when going from the
Keyblade rider map, to an actual world.

Which ISO driver do you use? Inferno or NP9660? And do you have a easy and 100%
chance way to reproduce it?

Can you verify if 982:ecc1843622f8 fixed them?

It was using Inferno driver, as that is the only one that DBZTTT works on. 100%
chance that it happens each time.

However, ecc1843622f8 Fixed the issue with KHBBS, I will check DBZTTT later
tonight.

I was finally able to sit down and play some DBZTTT, the issue does appear to
be fixed.

Awesome work guys!

This issue is happening to me with the Legend of Heroes II: Prophecy of the
Moonlight Witch game. If someone can direct me to where I would find more
details that's needed, I can add those on here.

Completed DragonBall z Tenkaichi Tag Team (US and EU) and in Kingdom Hearts
Birth By Sleep (US and EU) without issues with ISO Cache Enabled. Issue is
fixed since B10.
