We had intended to merge dev-release-1.5 into master when the release was ready but after some discussion decided that this project isn't active enough to have a feature and release branch for development. To that end, I've merged dev-release-1.5 into master which includes this fix and will close this PR. Apologies for not having decided this before you opened this PR.
