Battery widget: current_now missing while discharging

Hi,

I have an issue with BAT widget.

When cable is plugged have "Bat "%" plugged" (with the good % with "battery = "BAT"," in rc.lua)
When cable is disconected, I have "Bat N/A"

In /sys/class/power_supply, I have "BAT" and "AC"

Do you have any idea ?

According to the wiki, you can set ac too:

Does the file /sys/class/power_supply/BAT/status exist while discharging?

Thanks for your update. Yes, I have same same files in /sys/class/power_supply/BAT when plugged and discharging :

Then I suppose the widget doesn't pass the second conjunct in the AND operator here. Probably because you are missing power_now and current_now is (interpreted as) 0 for some reason.

Please cat me the following files from /sys/class/power_supply/BAT while discharging:

If your current_now is unusable, I'm afraid I haven't a solution with bat.

This is strange, which laptop are you using?

Try acpi and tell me if it can detect your battery status while discharging. It also has a package for every major distro.

If it works, you can use it in pipe with base.

Look at that: even acpi can't tell you the discharging rate.

I could modify the widget in order to show battery percentage in any case, but that's of little use.

I have add it in wibox and now, I don't have errors. But this widget don't work (I don't have the widget display) This is the rc.lua (it is nearly clean compared to the original Holo)
