ubdatedb database gets too large #14

The updatedb(8) utility keeps a database which grows very large if you have a lot of files, like you would on the simbur backup server. You can prevent updatedb from indexing the backup directories by modifying /etc/updatedb.conf. It's not an elegant modification, and it's not just a matter of dropping a file somewhere. It looks like the solution will involve scripting something. Ugh.

Since this isn't relevant for my current set-up with the Synology file share box, I won't fix this.
