Bevan et al. (2019) is a paper on the validity of different projections of Diabetes prevalence in the England. The paper compares different methods of projecting prevalence into the future and discusses the pros and cons.

I should compare the FEM output to some of these projections and see if mine looks similar to any of them.

All the projections this paper reviews are done on whole populations, either ages 20-79, or aged 15+. So no direct comparisons can be made for our work. Did however learn about the Quality and Outcomes Framework, where some prevalence statistics are reported. Again not useful for us as we need prevalence by age group, but found ageuk have some of these statistics.
