This is the repository for the English version of the Future Elderly Model, originally developed at the Leonard D. Schaeffer Center for Health Policy and Microsimulation.
Wave 9 includes newly measured weight information (wave includes a nurses visit) but height wasn't measured again. Can therefore use height from wave 8 and assume no change (not ideal but better to have than not). Will need to check the BMI mean and SD against previous waves just to make sure we're happy with it.
Do all this before imputing BMI in reshape_long.do
[ ] Include height information for wave 8 only in reshape long
[ ] Use weight info from wave 9 to calculate BMI
[ ] Look at some summary statistics between waves and see if it still looks good and moves in the right direction
Already looked at the weight var in the codebook and the mean has dropped from previous wave, despite constantly increasing from the start. Change is minimal though so lets wait and see.
