2 months ago Reminder of the decision (see 12/5/2023 team meeting notes) to add a world map to the browse page. A world map that has dots on it showing where LDbase data is coming from. In a monthly meeting with the dev team in 2024, we landed on a simpler, country-at-broad-idea as the way to go.
We would also like to use this Github to say we'd still like to have a team conversation on the Browse Page as a whole. We'd like to review the above mockups and discuss new ideas, too. Like:
- Cool features to add
- Marketing ideas
- Maybe a spot showing recent tweets of LDbase from other users
- Altmetrics
- In 2021, we asked for and are still interested in "LDbase By The Numbers!" This is Tracking of what is in LDbase. Like, “Data-related publications” and “number of Downloads and Usage Reports” Ex: LDbase contains data on 3,532,309 subjects from 162 studies. (note: we discussed maybe displaying this instead in the About LDbase page area, not Browse page; up for discussion).
Please see the 2 documents Sara created in our Interface Mockups folder for reference on how to make the Browse Page. (titled "Initial Scratching.." and "Virtual Notes....") Maybe get with Psy team before starting design to see if we have any updates.
