Implement a version of the lookup bar

The lookup bar seems like it can be pretty useful and so I'm going to try to 
implement it in a chrome like way.

Please do the lookup bar is what of the things that makes rikaichan so useful!

on what you have now. I was waiting to switch to chrome but rikai kept me with 
firefox!

Rikaichan has become my primary dictionary.  When I need to look up a word, I 
just 
launch Firefox and open the lookup bar.  So yes, a lookup bar would increase 
the 
usability of this extension tremendously.

The lookup bar is absolutely essential to me and I cannot consider my Chrome 
experience 
complete without it.

Any news on this?
Me and a friend are actually only waiting for this feature in rikaichan so we 
can move to Chrome instead of Firefox.

No, there's no website or (remotely) practical alternative to Rikaichan's 
lookup bar's capabilities (on Windows, at least).

Everybody else's comments are from 2010... but I agree! I miss the lookup bar! 
I have to switch back to firefox to use rikaichan because I loved the lookup 
bar. Saying you don't want to add it because it clutters the interface...well 
it did that in firefox too but I didn't mind! That's more a personal choice for 
each person, isn't it?!

Thanks for that patch.  It's a solid dom based lookup bar indeed.

I've read that it can interact with some websites in strange ways.

This site is definitely alive and I read the comments and issues but I just 
don't have time to do all the improvements I would like.

That being said info bars are coming and might be a nicer way to implement the 
functionality.  (based on my usual time line it might be in stable by the time 
I come back to this.)
