when resetting the request system or the server the postbox forgets all the orders

I understand resetting the system to clear out buggy requests. What I would like to see is persistent requests across a reset. So if I order 64 items just before a reset when I log back in, that request is still there; if the order is reset, that is fine; the system can adjust, but the order should still be in the post box.
