[BUG] Glitching racks #9182

Is there an existing issue for this?

Are you using the latest MineColonies Verison?

Did you check on the Wiki? or ask on Discord?

What were you playing at the time? Were you able to reproduce it in both settings?

Current Behavior

Racks in Steampunk warehouse were glitching and not registering as openable. The broken racks were all on the top level of a side-by-side/ double stack. They were all placed against a wall. Lvl 4 Warehouse broken shelves Warehouse broken shelves Level 4 warehouse all red circled were broken. Level 3 warehouse had some broken (red) and some partially broken (yellow) where half the rack worked and was accessible. Level 5 had the same issue. I fixed it at the time by removing the broken racks and then repairing the warehouse. I noticed the issue some time around 18 April 2023.

Moobien asked me to report this now as there have been more reports of similar problems in other build styles coming through main discord. A deeper issue could be affecting racks that is not schematic based.

I will also mention every rack I have in my colony, no matter in which building, is visually flickering and looks wrong and misaligned.

Expected Behavior

Double side-by-side racks should work like two double chests on top of each other. Opening either top or bottom racks should give you 54 inventory slots. The broken ones either could not be opened at all, or were only showing 27 slots.

Reproduction Steps

I cannot say, but as I said the broken ones were all up against a wall, none of the middle of the room ones were broken.

@Moobien did you already replace all the broken racks in steampunk? We dont have issues with glitching racks with other styles where this had been fixed atm afaik?

Nordic spruce seems to be having a smiliar issue too

Nordic spruce just has a lot of single racks nowadays (after my mass fixing)

Wat minecolonies version are you on? And what level warehouse?

I need to get back to you for the alt version, but minecolonies version 1.1.56 and the warehouse is level 5

The first (altwarehouse) or the second (warehouse) one? (There isn't really a "new" alternative style, as those buildings exist for several years now. The altwarehouse one just lived into the "medievalbirchalternative" substyle)

The first one (that says alternative) not the second one (that does not say alt). To be fair, whoever decided the naming, could have picked a less confusing convention then having half the builds have "Medieval" and "Alternative" in there names.

The buildings should be named after the (internal) name of the building, optionally with "alt" in front of it to indicate it used to be the alternative version

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reproduce this. The top racks on the second floor of the Medieval Birch altwarehouse work fine for me

I have a similar issue with MineColonies 1.1.603-realease for 1.20.1, specifically in the towns and kingdoms 2 modpack. I am using the dark oak medieval structures and the all tiers of the warehouse have similar rendering issues, where only half of them are displayed.

My best guess on why it is not repeatable for some people may be based on the direction the building is placed. Trying to describe the my placement direction is difficult. I am using the normal "warehouse" (not the altwarehouse) and that building has 2 doors on the ground floor, one facing south and one facing east. I think the warehouse was also NOT flipped. Maybe these display issues occur from directionality that is not stored in the structure files. (This is just a hypothesis, I am not experienced at all with the structure creation process).

I didn't realize this was an older version. I will consider updating the mod, but I am using this on a server and I do not want to force all my players to update manually. Thank you for bring this to my attention.
